Fantasy Premier League 2019/2020 Essentials
We choose three players as essentials before the season starts. It’s hard to fit in all these three players, but they are definitely worth their price!
Mohammed Salah - 12.5M
38% of teams already selected Mohammed Salah to their teams. He is the most expensive player of the game, but the Egyptian King deserves his price tag. He scored 22 and assisted to 12 goals, and he proved he is not a one-season wonder last season.
He looked pretty selfish against Manchester City on Community Shield, but actually, it’s better for FPL managers. Liverpool has an excellent fixture to start their 2019/2020 Premier League campaign. They will play against a newly promoted team Norwich on first game week. Norwich even didn’t have an impressive clean sheet record in Championship. Liverpool’s Egyptian star is the perfect candidate for making him a captain in the first game week.
Raheem Sterling - 12M
Raheem Sterling is one of the best players who survived Guardiola’s rotation wheel last season. English winger involved 32 goals from FPL perspective(17 goals, 15 assists). Some of those assists are only FPL assists like getting a penalty. There is no reason to believe his involvement will decrease this season. He is one of the most expensive players of the game, but if you are looking for consistency, you shouldn’t overlook him.
Kevin De Bruyne 9.5M
De Bruyne can be another star to look from the blue side of Manchester if you can’t fit Sterling to your squad. He struggled from injuries last season, but in pre-season, he looked pretty sharp and involved to 4 goals(1 goal, 3 assists)
Ryan Fraser - 7.5M
Bournemouth’s defensive weakness couldn’t make them top half Premier League side, but they have perfect FPL assets from their attack. Ryan Fraser created more big chances(28) than anyone in Premier League last season ahead of Eden Hazard (18) and Mo Salah (16). He completed last season with 7 goals and 14 assists. He will continue to create great chances for Wilson(8.0M) and King (6.5) this season, and he is on set pieces too. Bournemouth’s opening fixtures look easy to score for them. Essential!
Gameweek 1 Differential
The players which we mentioned have high ownership because their last season stats are impressive. If you want to differentiate yourself from the crowd, we have a suggestion for you.
Leandro Trossard 6M (0,6% Ownership)
Trossard can become one of the hidden gems of the season and if he starts to return some points in opening fixtures, his price tag can increase immediately. Now it’s time to analyze why he interested us this much.
Brighton have a new manager, Graham Potter. He got the job after successful campaigns with Ostersunds(2 years ago they have an impressive Europa League campaign) and Swansea. The Swedish manager is attacking minded coach, and it will change many things in Brighton.
Trossard played for Genk last season, and he has 22 goals and 11 assists in 47 matches. Belgian youngster looked pretty impressive at pre-season with Brighton, and he already involved in three goals (1 goal, 2 assists).
He looks nailed on left-wing in attacking minded team playing with 3-4-3. Brighton will play against Watford (A), West Ham(H), Southampton(H), Man City(A) and Burnley(H) in their opening fixtures. If we exclude Man City, these teams can get only 7 and 8 clean sheets, and there is no team which gets less clean sheets in Premier League. Huddersfield and Fulham had just 5 clean sheets, but they relegated. Trossard, worth a punt for these opening fixtures!
